This newsletter is to update everyone on several changes occuring at CFEH this summer.

CFEH is pleased to welcome Dr Courtney Varney, who joined our staff in August. She is comes to us from Ocala Equine Hospital and we feel their loss is our patients’ gain. Dr Varney has a strong background in equine sports medicine and lameness and is also an accomplished rider currently competing in upper level FEI events.

We want everyone to know that we are working diligently to make this a smooth transition and we look forward to our continued relationship with you. We are all here to help you with your horses needs and encourage you to make your preferences known. As always, our staff is available to meet all of your horses’ needs, both routine and emergencies.

Dr Fowinkle has been appointed to a position of Courtesy Assistant Professor in the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at the University of Florida. This begins our practice-based equine preceptor program jointly with the University of Florida's Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. We are expecting 2 rotations this fall with senior vet students. This program is designed to enhance senior veterinary students exposure to clinical practice before they graduate.
